The Remains Of The Day

By Somerled7
This is the wreck of the Sheraton - a Grimsby trawler that was requisitioned by the Royal Navy during both World Wars. After WW2, it was decommissioned and anchored in The Wash to act as a target for the RAF, however it broke free in 1947 and washed ashore below the cliffs at Hunstanton. It was sold for scrap, stripped down and the remains left to decay for the benefit of landscape photographers!
