American Civil War

By Sonyfan
This montage is of images taken at a reenactment weekend held near Newark (Nottinghamshire, not New Jersey). The Abraham Lincoln and Robert E Lee images were on posters displayed on the day.

If you ever get chance to visit a similar display, it's well worth your time. Photo opportunities are endless.

Excellent montage Sonyfan, well thought out & composed, shows off this civil war reenactment well. Are the civil war volunteers British, or was this an American group that tours? Nice work.

Ron,

Thanks for your comments. All the participants were British, at least all those I spoke to. They really were a very keen bunch and knew the relevant history surprisingly well. If you can get there, another weekend is coming up on 28th - 29th April at Kelham Hall. The grounds and house are also worth a wander round even when there's no event on. Open every day, the only charge is 3 parking.
