Etive Cottage

By sooty 36
Another shot from my October visit to Scotland. This was taken while on a days meet with Doug (Highlander) on the track leading to Loch Etive. This again is a highly photographed cottage. This is my take on it. The sun was sinking very fast so the lighting wasnít as I would have wanted, but managed to run a few off before it got too dark. For this reason Iíve done some toning work in PS to give it a slightly different and warmer feel to the shot. Hope you like it.
Thanks again for all your comments on my previous uploads. Itís much appreciated.
Chris

Very nice image. Everything going on it works well. Red dirt indicates the farm house may not be used any longer but the field is resting. The angry clouds in the background look very inviting! =o) Superb!
Warm tones, works well.

Now this makes me feel lovely & warm Chris.
I have seen similar shots before, but not with this treatment.
A wonderful image.
We have heavy rain & wind down here at the moment.
I got blown over this morning while waiting for a bus, that's how strong these flipping winds are.
Don't you dare laugh!!!

You are taking me along that road, past the cottage and along the mountain side. I like the subtle warm tones very much.

Somehow the curve in the road complements the shape of the mountians so perfectly.

Wow I love the colour and the way youve managed to capture the scale of that Ben running down and the road gives a terrific lead in.
