Felt like doing something different, something that I hadn't done before and decided to have a go at handheld night photography courtesy of some ISO 3200 film.

For this one I exposed for the shop window so that the passers-by would be silhouetted, except for the girl on the phone.

The theatre of the street. Love all three, in different ways. V3 is rather special.

Watcha Michael,
very well taken, excellent vision of the silhouettes against the shop lights.

sepia/blue, that's how platinum works, on a very subdued level, the first pic in my St Andrews in the snow is a not bad example. The best example is the expensive pic, you know, the one that sold at auction for about $2.4 million, this was enhanced because, if my memory serves me well (whoops, Bob Dylan moment) it is a platinum print over cyanotype.

I'm fascinated by that $2.4million photograph Mick - any idea where I might be able to see it?

Watcha Michael,

try Edward Steichen in google, I think it may be called the Pond and Moonlight. Now not sure that it is P over C but a 3 run gum bichromate.

Cheers Mick, just been reading about him on Wiki - some very interesting work. It's called the The Pond-Moonlight and sold for $2.9M. You're right, there are three of them.

Cheers Marc. Grain is generally considered to be a no-no in the digital age but I think it can be very effective for the right shot.
