I must admit, I clicked this before I'd read your 'comment'. Do I take it you haven't actually photographed any part of this image?

Don't get me wrong, it is a good image - I like the bright colours and the composition is good....................but it would have been nice if something here was original!

Watcha Mark,

Excellent bit of work

photography has many levels, at its basic it is just a recording media, at its highest, it is fine art, with all sorts of ability levels in between. With this pic we are looking at the artistic level of photography, the creative. Artists have long made pastiches, collected, collated, gathered and then made something new, it is how the creative mind works. Those who don't see this have yet to develop the creative mind. OK, so you took the pic of the sea, did you make the camera, the lens, the recording media, how about the scanner, the computer, have you printed it yet, if so, did you make the paper, grind the pigments to make the ink? It is easy to see that the comment about originality is an absurdity. We don't paint all aspects of the elements of a collage, nor do we photograph all elements of a photographic collage, we take, and use, and create.
sorry, waffling, but I do get uptight over pretensionSmile

Excellent bit of work
