Picture taken of a Bluetit in the garden with my new 150-500mm lens. Picture was taken on the spur of the moment, handheld, as i didn't notice him sitting on the fence until it was nearly too late. This has been cropped in photoshop as the subject was a fair distance away.

Considering this is handheld with a long lens it's really pretty good.
It can be improved upon in Photoshop; levels, shadows/highlights and some contrast make quite a difference but as a starting point, this is excellent.
I imagine that you'll become quite fond of that new lens!
