The Face in the Wall

By Spangle2008
Whilst walking in the Dumfries and Galloway area of Scotland, we came across a stone wall, which seemed like any other stone wall at first, until we looked closer and saw several carved faces set into it. I'm not sure how long they had been there, but they were beautiful to see.

"What a quite remarkable find?" of which would certainly me stop and stare. I shall have to do some investigation, as I have never come across such rather beautiful, yet at the same time somewhat 'macabre' findings.

How interesting. I'd say they've been there awhile by the look of the lichen. Most unusual.
