gull dreams

By sputnki
Reviewing some shots I took at a local park. There was one blown-out and blurry, but in it there seemed to be a dreamy sort of world. So I cropped in on the gull and desaturated the colour, then I blurred the surroundings.

What? You thought I'd put another SHARP picture up? That was just a phase... Wink

I really like this. Very dreamy.
Do you remember David Hamilton's photo book "Dreams of Young Gulls" in the 1970's? (It may have been "Dreams of Young Girls")

Be it deliberate or not, the sense of movement works so well here Doug, as doe the "light sepia" tone.
Fine shot of a gull.

I really do like this. What an inspired and artistic rescue of a duff photograph.

I like it Doug. Nice sense of motion in the wings while keeping the eye and top of the head sharp enough to keep our interest. -=Walter
