swift fox

By sputnki
Here's another critter from the day at the wildlife park. These little guys would run and hide if you faced them, but turn around and there they would be, close at your heels!

This is cropped from a larger shot. I worked on the exposure using the Linux version of LightZone, which is a deceptively simple working program that allows amazing control over your image. I find its intuitive method of exposure control the best, bar none. That said, my daughter could sharpen a pencil with a popsicle stick better than it could sharpen an image, but hey, you can't have everything!

Go LARGE for EXTRA sneekiness.

Beautifully caught and the surrounding branches put the sneaky little chap in context extremely well.

just wonderful - it's great that you got such a 'natural' shot of this Fox. The wildlife park you were at must be a really good place to visit, the last one I visited over here had three or four big wire cages with birds you couldn't see, several eels in a flooded river, a male Kiwi trying to get it on with a female that didn't want to know him, and two lizards under a log...
nice shot Doug.
