Wonderful shot Phil. I was there on Saturday morning and the light was nowhere near as good as this!

Nice one Steve. As a Capture One user for many years, stick with it. The results it is capable of producing are stunning.

  • Speedway

Speedway is without doubt the hardest motorsport that I have ever shot. The 'money shot' is usually all four riders tightly together and all in frame at once. Usually have one go at this in each race.

By Sarah, I presume you mean Sarah Hall? If so, I know her and her dad Ken. Rumour has it that Ken is going to have his 6R4 back out racing this year. I hope that is true.

Really nice shot by the way Steve. Great exposure and colours.

Great low angle Steve. Hall Bends (which you're at the start of here) is a fantastic sequence of bends.

Great light on this Steve. Cadwell Park is a superb circuit for photography.

Quote:Great position on the circuit, super images, pity about the marshalls.

Not a thing I can do about the marshalls I'm afraid. In any event, they are an integral part of the scene....

This looks great LARGE Steve. Very nicely done.

If you want a site to display your photographs, then I suggest using someone like JustHost for some webspace, and then installing Gallery (which they provide for free) to use to display your photographs. I use it, and it is very good. It's pretty easy to setup without any complicated programming.

What a sky Steve! The shower out at sea on the lhs just finishes it off nicely!

Amazing sky Steve, which for me is the main focal point. As such I might have been tempted to go with a lower viewpoint to include a bit more of it. Just my opinion!

They're bad at all, although it's a month or two since I've been any where near a track.

Like this one Steve, particularly the clear visor and the fact you can see the riders eye framed by his arm and bike handle bars.

@ Rick - I'll have to have a trip back over there in the autumn to get that leaf in the foreground!

It certainly makes the scene look very bleak. Perhaps not to my taste, but the processing is well done and nice to see someone trying different things with their landscape photography.

  • Sunset for 1

Your having way more luck with your sunsets than I'm having over here on the East Antrim coast Steve.

As for sharpness, I pretty much always use Live View and manual focus when using the 7D. The screen is plenty good enough to handle it, and it gives way more control. It also slows you down a bit which is no bad thing.
