Approaching Totality

By starman1
It was tough getting up early enough to watch the Eclipse of the Moon. Thankfully I was able to take the day off to catch up on my sleep. I tried a few shots holding my camera to my eyepiece, but wasn't pleased with the results I was getting. With the few shots I'll upload over the next couple days, I used a 2x telephoto attachment with my camera to try and get a closer shot than what I typically get with the camera by itself. This one was taken yesterday morning around 4:30 AM local time (10:30 AM GMT).
