The Grand Entrance

By starman1
Taken during one of the local historical society tours. I really liked how the wood framed the front entrance to the house.
Cropped from a larger image, small adjustments with sharpening, brightness and contrast.

I like this a lot. There are so many different textures, shapes and colours in the one image, it makes a fine sort of abstract.

pamelajean has said exactly what I was going to say! Great image. My only suggestion would be a touch of perspective correction.

Thanks Pamela,
Thanks Chris,

I'm glad you both liked it. When I tried adjusting the verticle lines, the horizontal ones went skewed. Maybe it was my perspective/angle relationship to the house when I was taking the shot from the street, the house was up on a large rise. If there's something you think you can try, by all means, please do, I'd like to see the result.
