This is a very 'understandable' Editor's award, wonderful shot.

Well I have 5 so there!

Seriously though, nice shot but I think that it's a little too graphic for my taste and I would have preferred a little detail in the shadow areas.

I have a feeling this has probably been worked on in Photoshop (i.e. the reflection/shadow created in PS) which is why the surroundings are plain black and there seems to be a cross piece of the window missing.

I'm curious. Am I right?

Hi Paul

No disrespect my friend I was just curious and it's a lovely image and well seen. Does the original have more shadow detail (I wish we could submit higher resolution files as shadows and highlight details are not easily reproduced on small files)

A very simple and striking picture. Personaly I don't think it needs shadow detail, but thats the beauty of photography everybody sees something diffrent. Congradulations on the award

Wonderful shot; whilst it's too graphic for Barrie's tastes, that's exactly what I love about it. It does look ever so very slightly canted to the left, but it's probably just me! Very strong image and uncontested EC winner. Congratulations.

Oh, and just to counter the gentle leg pulling, I reckon that 3 EC out of 7 images is outstanding; especially when the other 4 were to an equally high standard.
