The Bookmaker

By chase
Taken at the Robin Hood Pageant held at Nottingham Castle last weekend.
I was in good company & not a 'shroom in sight Wink
Thanks for a good day Alison & Alan.

A little out of my comfort zone with portraiture but the folk at the Pageant were great & allowed us to snap away.
I like the mix of texture & colour here, his beard was the icing on the cake.
I know there is no eye contact but I didn't think this image needed it as he was hard at work putting together & binding his books.
Taken in harsh daylight,handheld.

F4 manual mode
1/500th sec handheld
ISO 200
Pattern metering
W/B cloudy
Raw file converted in C1
Tweaked & curves adjusted in Photoshop.

Thankyou for taking the time to look, your comments/crit would be gratefully received.
Janet xx

A timeless image which could have been taken centuries ago. (Yes I know cameras weren't around then, but you know what I mean!) Lovely lighting well captured, super portrait.
