Another from Thirlmere reservoir a couple of weeks ago. With the sun fading fast it was getting decidedly chilly on the banks of Thirlmere as is depicted by the cool tones in this image. Very little in the way of wind and use of an exposure length of 2.5 secs gave rise to super smooth water whilst my Lee polariser enables a hint of what's below the surface. What little remaining light there was picked out the bright moss covered rocks and the odd yellow flash of autumnal leaves.
I realise the dark mood of this image may not grab everyones attention in the thumbnail but to adjust the exposure in Photoshop would do the scene no justice at all so if you're one of those who've dropped by to view I thank you very much and I hope you like it enough to vote and/or comment.
