Sherwood Forest

Many of the decaying oaks in the forest are home to an array of insect species - some which are rare. The shape of this one caught my eye particularly when set against the large silver birch - all seemed to work best in B&W

Intriguing mono study. I like the composition a lot and works well in mono

Thanks for the UA Robbo - it is appreciated. I have found Sherwood a difficult place to photograph over the years. Finding a simplified composition is the challenge - mono sometimes helps.
