The Magpies' nest

By mrswoolybill
The superstructure of St James's Park, home to Newcastle United, reflected in a nearby tower block.
The version was my first attempt at processing this, with a tighter crop and 'corrected' verticals, but I decided that I had pushed the file too far, and went back to square one again for the main upload, which I prefer. Converging verticals convey height...
It will be architecture all this week from me; and, shock, horror ┬– in colour.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

The lead has depth but the version is semi-abstract with strong geometry. Definitely prefer the version.

They still need to steal a few more players, but thankfully have avoided the drop😁

The version is flatter, I don't feel that I am a part of the scene, rather on the outside looking at it, not a part of it. I feel more integral and involved in the lead.

A multi story birds nest? I guess it's their way of creating more space in the city...

I don't really see the point of the Version.

I have it on my hard drive. If it's genuine it's brilliant. Even if it's fake it's very clever!

I added the version for comparison, as it was the first attempt. It's too flat for me, but it illustrates different approaches.

That's the baby. Brilliant, although it might need an explanation note added in Hampstead...

Lovely range of blue colours and reflections, Moira. The off-vertical of building does not put me off, that is how you see it in reality!

The lead for me too, Moira. it has more of the "bird' nest' and more context in the reflection. the version crops too much.

I see you've found the colour button again on the camera, Moira! 😁 A well seen image, like both; the version has a more abstract feel, whereas the lead with its converging verticals helps give the buildings height 😃👍🏻
