This is ‘our’ second attempt at portraiture in the home studio (conservatory, some curtain material & selection of household standard lamps).
Still trying to get the lighting somewhere near & this time some eye contact with Jean.
Both photographer & model still shaking with nerves…
Straight from the camera as I havn't the first clue about PS!

Steve, I'm no lighting expert but it strikes me that you have done a good job here. You have induced a warmth to the light which compliments Jean's skin tone and hair colour. The eye contact is very good and the offset gives room to breath and creates an honest and flattering image. I would have been tempted to drop the neck strap as it is a slight distraction and then you would have an implied nude shot to boot. Overall its an appealing image and I guess that's what we are all hoping to achieve. Hope the nerves didn't spoil the fun of it all.
