'Sanctuary from the Trenches'

By SteveBaz
During the First World War Dunham Massey Hall became Stamford Military Hospital to care for the wounded. As a remembrance of the 100th anniversary they are have recreated the hospital with the title 'Sanctuary from the Trenches'.
As part of this they have actors 'playing' the part of the nurses & wounded soldiers. I managed to catch this shot as the sun came through the window. I thought it captured a 'haunting' almost 'ghostly' feel.

Terribly tricky as it would have been, I think I'd like to have seen just a fraction of detail in the bright areas, and soem darkening bottom left, to stop the eye straying out of the picture...

Brilliant composition, and wonderful, haunting (emotionally, not ghostly!) feel to the whole thing.
