As Sandy says...
I only found ours after we had cut the grass yesterday. They are not quite so pretty...

Really beautiful.

The out-of-focus grass is wonderful: I'm not sure what the Bokeh nuts make of that lens, but it works absolutely perfectly here at full bore.

Certainly a very narrow dof. Is the out of focus grass for real or manipulated? It it's real I'm very impressed with that lens.

Afterthought: such an interesting contrast with majorwildlife's shot here ...

thanks for your kind comments everyone...and votes

The only manipulation is scissors to cut away ones in the viewpoint. And some jiggery pokery in Lightroom to adjust contrast/brightness/saturation/hue etc. No cloning or pixel distortion of any kind Smile

Out of curiosity, Pete...roughly how big is the 'lampshade' bit of this shroom?

That's a real get-down-and-get-wet image. The dof and bokeh are superb.

Like the mushy surround. Must try it myself.

A difficult day to choose where to put a UA.

katieb posts another amazing landscape from Skye: and two mushroom/toadstool shots. Plus hwatt's lovely Pentax 67 landscape. Spoilt for choice.

But the unusual background (and absence of a logo, compared with one of the contenders) does it for me!

Beautiful shot. Sensational background... like writhing primordial soup- very appropriate.
