the thumbnail jumps out but when seen bigger it slightly looses impact and i think this is because it needs some hint of the other eye in the shot. A reflector baord would have been enough to put detail in the dark areas without blowing the low key effect you were after. A tight crop would work well on this I think.

Cracking portrait!! wow! great mono that's sharp and soft in all the right places. v1 for me, v2 is too 'cold' for my taste, although I agree with John about the eye. Smile

I'd stop somewhere between the two version. Empty half face is too much for me.

Yep, have to agree, the second version has the edge due to the eye, but nice tones in v1.
Lucky you have such a lovely model at your disposal.

Great model and I really like the toning in v1. It's bold and I like it for that reason.
