Westminster by Night

By SteveH63
Taken on a recent weekend trip to London, it was raining at the time, which helped with the reflections on the wet roads but caused problems trying to keep the lens dry (I fortunately had the aid of my wife holding a large umbrella over the camera whilst i framed the picture)

30 secs on f 22 - Tripod

Best viewed large if you have the time, as always all comments/critique very much appreciated

Thanks

Steve

Nice job - striking trails. How would it look with the rhs cropped in to the kerb? I know you'd lose the nice lights and reflections from the building on the right but I wondered if it would focus the eye even more on the high trail (was it a bus?).

Thank you everybody for the comments

Hi Howard,
I have added a different crop as you suggested, not sure which works best? (Yes it was a bus - had some with a lot more trails in but unfortunately were ruined by rain drops on the lens)

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

Yeah. I think I like the crop of version two best. Version one is good but the right hand side looked somehow out of place. Crackin' light trail image that inspires me to post one of my own in the next few days.

Cheers!

Bob G.
