Catch of the day

By SteveMoulding
Not your common domestic Tabby Cat but they do look very similar. Probably the origins of our domesticated cats but slightly larger and lot more attitude and aggression. I am not one who ever likes to see dead animals at all and always say a 'God Bless' everytime I pass a roadkill but i'm realistic and understand that wild cats need to have a natural diet and can't just pop down to Tesco's, especially in the wild. So although I didn't want to show a dead rat it's part of the natural order of things and therefore part of nature. I am sure it will put a lot of people off and hence will not score highly but I think they are such beautiful cats and being shy aren't often seen, even in captivity. I had to wait to the end of the day to get a glimpse or two of this one and the one reason he came out into the open, food. I hope you do like him.
Many thanks for your continued C&C's on my images they are very much appreciated.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.
Steve.

Two nice shots Steve, all part of nature. I like your previous upload of the tiger as well.

Great pair of images, I don't like to see any thing dead either but as you so rightly say it's not for fun but for survival. Wonderful face, looks like it needs a cuddle!

It's nature- whether it's a tiger or just a moggy!
I hate it but having been used to seeing it in the wild realise that it is just , as you say, like us going to the supermarket! ( Prefer V1)

A handsome animal and a joy to see. There is a very real sense of wildness to both your images of him and I don't think I would have imagined for a moment this was someone's cuddly tabby! Both really great images.
