Experiments in Exposure

By SteveMoulding
Work permitting I might have some time spare this weekend and get out with the camera. It has now been almost 2 months since my last outing and photography fix.
A couple of uploads today from the last time I was at Arundel WWT in February. I took the opportunity to experiment with exposure as it was a bright sunny day and there were plenty of whites around. I didn't always get it right but hope I have done these two justice.
V1 is a Falcated Duck with a multitude of various colours dispersed with white. sundrenched on water.
V2 a Mute swan preening in the sunlight.
I hope you like them. Thanks for all the C&C's on my series of Big Cats, very much appreciated.
Best Wishes,
Steve.

Have to agree with everyone else, 2 beautiful images. REally like that pose in V2, but for the quality of light and the glowing colours, V1 for me.

Ann
You did really well - so hard to get the whites right when it's sunny. Well done! I really like both shots.

Exposures look spot on to me. Can't help feeling that `Falcated duck' sound rude, though...

Nice work on the exposures, that bright light makes for hard metering at times.
