Great Ape

By SteveMoulding
Did you know, Orangutans are the world's largest tree dwellers?
They are found in Indonesia and Malaysia and are on the endangered species list. The main threat to the Orangutan is habitat loss due to the logging of primary forest for agricultural land and, in particular, the unsustainable palm oil industry.
Monkey World is home to Europe's only Orangutan creche and is part of the European Breeding Program for this species. With a highly sucessful creche in operation they will continue to breed Orangutan's as well as offering a home to any orphans that are born in Europe.
Let's hope the Orangutan's survive man's plundering of their forests.
Thanks for all your C&C's on my pic's they are all very much appreciated.
