Blue Section - SCRAMBLE!!!

By SteveMoulding
Just a quick upload today from last week's airshow at Shoreham. Despite the weather we did get to see the Battle of Britain display, although many other display's were rained off. I know this isn't a great photo but it does tell a story and it's a total deviation from my normal photo's, but I wanted to have a go at photographing something different. I will interested to here any comments that will allow me to improve this type of photography.
Enjoy the weekend.

ps. Sorry I only seem to get time at the weekends now and haven't been around much. I will endeavor to catch up with you all later.

I feel really guilty, as I forgot to thank ChristineD and EAS for their UA's on my Wildcat upload, so a belated grateful thanks to them.

Looks good to me, I find the plane in V2 distracting. - gary

Think I prefer V1, minus the little plane in V2. Like the sense of atmosphere you got in this.

Great capture Steve - like others I do prefer V1 as the little plane in V2 does tend to draw the eye away from the main subject. Lovely colours, detail and atmosphere.

Great images Steve - I prefer V2 !

Super shot Steve of this world famous and iconic aircraft. Cropped just a tad tight for me but a cracker nonetheless.

This would be way out of my comfort zone, so I can't critique this in any way. Think it's a great shot with that dust cloud stirred up around the plane creating atmosphere. V1 for me, without the distracting plane

I really like both V1 and V2......V2 has the edge for me as the Plane in the BG adds real interest....The camera seems to have remetred its exposure inbetween shots and the colours are less vibrant in V2 compared to V1
All that said I love old Warbirds and Both are great captures and have a real sense of atmosphere.

A great shot - v1 IMHO is the better one - I think the crop is a little bit on the tight side
