Damsel's not in Distress!

By SteveMoulding
Something a little different than my normal uploads, and have not tried before, macro's. I hope you like them. I'm not sure that they are as good as some of the recent macro uploads but as it was my first attempt, I'm quite pleased with the outcome.
I believe V1 is a Common Blue and V2 is a Large Red but I am no expert, so please put me right if they are not what I think they are.

Thanks again for all the C&C's on my photo's and all your kind words on my P/F. They are all very much appreciated.

What a great start to macro photography, but beware - its addictive! One of the reds landed on my knee and rested there while we were in Scotland. Needless to say I couldn't reach my camera without disturbing it!

I guess it is also V1 for me, mainly because I love the colours but also the background seems to work better. Two super images -- you must be pleased. If they are your first macro shots, can't wait to see what's next!

Excellent macro work with these two studies. I had planned to upload something similar tomorrow but after seeing these beauties, I don't think I'll bother!

Two superb shots Steve - great amount of fine detail

Number one is a male Azure Damselfly but Number 2 a male Large Red as you say.

Keep trying the macro - it's a jungle down there ! ! ! ! !
