Winters Past

By stevenb
Taken Between Christmas & New Year at H'Pool Historic Quay. Went out for a walk to burn off the Christmas pudding had been humming and arring if I should I take my camera, considering the weather. I ended up down at the local Harbour, paid my 2.50 and went into the Quay, if there was ever a day to take your camera this was it. I was so Pleased that I did.

You were right to take your camera, this picture has a great deal of atmosphere, but for the fact that what looks like an electric light peers over the corner of the shed, this could be an image of harbour life from centuries past, a highly commendable capture but I find the noise in the top section of the picture distracting, can you get the bits out? Other than that, I can feel a sea shanty coming on....

Great shot, really love it. The few 'blips' at the top of the photo- had you considered cropping it slightly, think there is sufficient spare height not to affect the overall balance.

You're right about the muck in the sky. I selected the wrong image when I downloaded!
