Powerful Rhyme

By stevenr
Cruachan Power Station, near Oban in Argyll, is one of only four pumped storage power stations in the UK.
The site is unique in that the power station is concealed within the hollowed-out rock of a mountain, Ben Cruachan.
Only the 316 metre-long dam at the top of the mountain, the offices and visitor facilities are visible from the road, preserving the landscape's scenic beauty.

Excellent, good composition and interesting light. Good use of stitching too - I use this technique as well - difficult to catch rainbows never mind get them in the right place! Click, Martin

An absolute cracker, Steven. Beautifully composed, and I particularly love the way the rainbow comes to land in the area of light. The stitching is technically flawless, too.

This is outstanding, Steven. I'm a sucker for shots like this, and the panoramic treatment gives the image the 'widescreen' feel it needs. I hope there's more Cruachan shots to come.
