The Trossachs

By stevenr
At 1488ft, not even half the height of a munro- but what Ben A'an lacks in height it makes up for in character. And as the Easter-holiday-daytripping families with alarmingly ill-equipped children may now appreciate, on a changeable spring day like this, conditions can still become atrocious - 50mph gusts of hail at the summit gave us a wind chill of -16oC.
A convenient way to get in among some great Scottish mountain scenery, with its perfect viewpoint of Loch Katrine and the Trossachs.
