Thanks, Toobi_Won. Unfortunately, the resolution of the moon image does not lend itself to enlarging any further, originally having been taken with a 300mm lens it was quite a substantial crop from the frame. If I did as you suggest, the moon would look pixellated/blurred which would spoil the effect. However, I recently bought an old 35mm 600mm mirror lens and I plan to take some better moon pictures. If I get any of sufficient quality I will certainly give it a try. Cheers.

Looks great, but why have Nikon opted for a bottom hinge on the screen? They did this with the D5000 and were criticised for the impracticality of this choice when the camera is mounted on a tripod. They quickly changed to a side hinge for the D5100 onwards and never looked back. I would have thought they would have done the same. Strange..

Maybe I'm a DSLR Luddite but if I had that amount of money to spend I would still go for D7500.

This is my new 'kit' lens, which I bought used on eBay to replace my 18-55mm. Despite the additional weight compared with the 18-55mm, the improvement in quality (and focal range) is very noticeable and more than worth the extra 'heft'.

Great minds think alike. Here's my high key image. Background was a white umbrella with a Speedlite behind. Spokes of brolly cloned out in PS.

This stitched panorama was taken using an old Sigma 24mm prime lens from an old Nikon film camera. The shot was taken fully manual anyway so no worries about lack of autofocus etc. The eagle-eyed may spot the anomalous EXIF data that resulted from using a non-CPU lens.
