Inspired ......

By Stewy
by Hanners' Mini Adventure and The Beast , I thought I would try and do some shots of some of my Tamiya models.

Back in the late 1970's/early 80's, I would while away for hours on these kits. Incredibly detailed, they were the bees knees of model kits.

I still have three on display, of which this is one.

I have never tried close up work before and don't have a "proper" macro lens, so the 18-55 Canon kit lens was used as it can at least focus down to around 9 inches.

I placed the car on a piece of black card, slid most of it under a chest of drawers to get a dark environvent, and used natural light only.

I am quite pleased with some of the results, so depending on how this goes down, I might upload some more.

Makes a change from snow shots anyway!

Thanks for looking.

Hmmmmmmm!

One hour up, six views and only one click. Not setting the world alight is it?

Viewing this on my laptop now and it seems a lot darker than on the PC, with a loss of some detail around the front suspension.

This could just be the laptop screen but any comments on this point would be appreciated.
