Pastel Dawn

By Stickleman
There have been some new works that have been carried out at Littlehaven Beach in South Shields, these 'pylons' support an underwater pipe that I think had something to do with the old Westoe Colliery.I shot this with a long exposure but this has caused the rotating light beam from the lighthouse to be visible in the image.Does this spoil the image? The thing is it takes 3-4 seconds to rotate so would be difficult to get a long exposure without it.

I like it. Another spot to add to my "must visit" list. I haven't been to Shields for photography in ages. Smile

Thanks Anna, just seen your shot taken this morning at Roker, nice image with lovely sky and foreground .I must have walked past you, I saw a couple of people taking shots this morning there.I took a couple from the pier itself but it was bl**dy freezing and my heart wasn't in it so I went home for a coffee.
