Wonderful collection of portraits (my favorite subject - people). Keep up the good work and I am sure I will be visiting your page more often.

You are far and away the best portrait photographer on this site. It's that simple.

just spent the last hour going through the portfolio.... I had picked up on some or your images prevuiously, but it was great seeing the complete folio. What really impressed me is your willingnes to ask advice and learn from it, some people get a bit head up arse about comments and it's good to see that you have resonded so positively.

Cracking portraits with wonderful crisp lighting ( something I'll be learning from Smile ) and I look forward to viewing more of your images.

all the best

I think the Jazz singer shots are my favorite in a portfolio of excellent work. I think your portraiture is of the highest standard and well worth browsing. (mainly to copy I add)

There are some really strong portraits in your portfolio.

You clearly have a natural talent for portraiture, looking forwards to seeig much more of your work in the future.

Hello Martin.

Not sure if this is the right place to pose a question or two.

Is it possible that I posted to the wrong section? Maybe I should have posted to digitally manipulated rather than people / portraiture. Would that alter your opinions in any way?

Anne's portfolio although technically brilliant does not inspire me to 'frame and hang'. Her images disregard anything below the jaw and neck line. All my photo's are spur of the moment and involve natural poses, even when unflattering. They are not forced or 'put on' for the camera.

Once again thanks for your sharing your expertise. Looking at that image I tend to agree with most of your observations. I just can't understand why I still like it so much Wink
