Challenge Portrait

By strawman
An image from todays visit to Formby, it was a bit of a challenge for me, the light was low, they move fast, so the quantity of blurred photo's of small red furry creatures leaping out of the scene.

still it was interesting and I feel I did learn quite a bit, so much to think on. My thanks to Cheryl, Edgar, and Jon for the advice, Fran and Paul for the company, and my commiserations to Will who in theory has to look through the 600 or so images I took.....

This was selected by my youngest as I attempted to download the memory card contents, and it sums up much of the day. Fun and delightful creatures, but so fast moving and hard to focus on.

Taken at 400mm ISO 1600 and lens wide open still only gave @ 1/100 A crop in the width only, the height is as per the frame height.

I must go play with the other images, which may be a bit better.

Like this one John, different from the usual "sideways-on chewing a nut" shot...been cheeky enough to make a mod..

Well, I'd be proud of this one. I'm a bit like Kevin, I have to "tidy up", and often remove blemishes, ticks and flies from my ponies.

600? Amazing! But this one does look very good so I can't argue.

Thank you every one. I too am surprised at how well the image came out given the ISO.
