Thanks for your thoughts. there was a rock in strong sun light but it was very hard to get it in the frame without it burning out. I will have a look again into whether I could include some of it.

i like the wetness of the whole scene and the colours of the rocks, but the overall quality isn't there, can't quite put my finger on it but maybe it's noise or lack of sharpness?

I love the foreground, but it feels a bit cut-off height wise. Perhaps that is because I can see that strong gold highlight.

It does look a little 'closed in'. Letterbox formats do work, and I think would work here, but the bright highlight is the problem, especially as it's warm in colour and so draws the eye.

I think it is a fine piece of work but for me personally the warm bright glow is a eye puller from the main center of interest (the waterfall and rocks).

Perhaps a selection from the opposite side and flipped and blended in to hide it would help, if this is not ethically wrong for you..just a suggestion.
