Flooded pasture

By strokebloke
This field, close to the river, used to be a grazing pasture for ponies. Now it is the habitat of gulls and waterfowl. The ponies congregate beside the entrance gate, where hay has bee placed for them on elevated ground. They are, however marooned between the water and the gate.

This was shot through the foliage on the perimeter of the field, which is in the foreground, and the water reflects the trees and shrubbery in the background.

Sadly a sight all too familiar across the country, the fields around our village are in places waist deep.
