Dor Beetle

One of the UK Dung Beetles, not sure which one. Photographed using the same technique as the most excellent Levon Biss used in his "Microsculpture" project. It is worth looking at his web site for further information. The photo was resized down to 4700 x 6144 to upload here. The completed photo is 16383 x 21399 pixels.

The tiny details are remarkably clear and the beetle's colours are irridescent. It looks awesome against the black background, and you should be applauded for such a work of perfection.
