Nightmares begin here

By studioline
I had a concept in my mind of a demon guarding a layer. Almost like guarding her brood. I set about creating this image using many many shots whilst the camera was sitting on a tripod. Few hours later I had selected the hand positioning and style that I wanted to get the above image. The layers were combined and then a texture added to the door to give it a more forbidding look followed by selective burning.
Any questions please ask.

A rather striking image, clearly well thought out and crafted. I remember seeing one very similar where the image composed of four legs and four arms, then was dressed and made up to look like a Common Spider.

that has been successfully done.. i have a doubt though.. is the girl subject herself seeing the nightmare? or she has come in someone else's nightmare.. on my own , I would like the first one, ie. she herself seeing the nightmare.. so the expressions on her face are a mixture of anger and pain.. I myself had been seeing a lot of bad dreams lately..
however, if i might say, it might be a very different perspective (something not fully imaginary like a nightmare, but something thats happening in real) if the title were not nightmare.. the title has made it very objective and limited in its scope..
