Lochan na h'Achlaise

By Sue_R
Took a trip down to Glencoe today, but the weather didn't play ball at all. It wasn't too bad on the way down but, by the time we got there, there was thick grey cloud, the light was awful and there was heavy drizzle falling.

The rain stopped eventually, but the light never really improved much so not too many shots to show for today's little outing. Determined to upload something though because it seems like forever since I had anything new to share with you.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my recent uploads. They really are much appreciated.

You've done a very good job on this image Sue, not easy when given so little to work with, but it does have a good atmosphere, and the thick clouds do play a part in the drama here.
Havn't seen the Sun ALL Weekend here in Kent :-(

This is very dramatic and attractive! Really like the slightly muted feel thanks to those clouds and the foreground rushes are rather lovely too. As always, the composition works perfectly.

Lucky you, getting to visit Glencoe, even if it wasn't the best of weather. A lovely composition and capture here, Sue, of this beautiful scene, with a very dramatic looking sky Smile

A very atmospheric winter landscape Sue, you've done especially well given the far from ideal weather conditions.

Lovely crisp detail and moody sky. It can be difficult to get a god photograph in such flat light but you're managed it.

It is just as beautiful with the cloud (when you don't have to be out in it!)

Dramatic and moody image, especially with that one lone tree. So much detail! Very handsome.
