A well composed shot with a very moody atmosphere which suits the area so well, but the sunlight catching on the f/g grasses just lifts the mood that wee bit. Looks as if you must have got your feet pretty wet to get this shot.

I hope you don't mind me saying Sue, but I'm not so sure about this one. The composition is a little off with all the water on the right and only a little bit of land on the left - it makes the image lean to the right. I also think the HDR has flattened the contrast a wee bit too much and seems to be a bit stronger than you usually apply.
I hope I'm being constructive as I usually like your landscapes a lot.

Well, I didn't get see your earlier upload, Sue, so can't comment or compare, but this looks spot-on to me. A very beautiful scene as always (are there any un-beautiful scenes up there?!).

Fraser, I don't mind you saying at all. I should upload the original image so you can see just how little I had to work with here. The light was truly awful and this seemed to be about as good as I could get despite repeated attempts at processing it in different ways.

The comp was tricky too as I couldn't get into a position that would have balanced it up better without standing in the middle of the river and I didn't fancy that, so I went for dropping the left bank into the bottom left corner and I thought it sort of worked, but I do know what you mean.
