Comfrey

By Sue_R
Uploaded this image on Friday but took it down again because it looked so much darker on here so I've lightened V1 a bit and I'm giving it another go.

Loved the delicate flowers on the comfrey plants in our garden, but felt that none of the images I took did them justice.

Somehow the colour versions looked like what I call "nothing photos" so I tried messing about with one of them and am much happier with this toned version. V2 is the original colour image. I'll be interested to know whether you agree with me on this one Smile

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my recent uploads Smile

Thought V1 very effective, but once I'd seen V2 there really was no doubting, it gets my vote!!

Lovely shot, Sue, but I cannot decide whether I prefer the original or V 1. So b/o that indecision, it will have to be 1/2 vote for each.

Well, Sue, both versions are delightful, and like your 'messing around' in V1, but love the colour version, too. Can I give them half a vote each?!

It's got to be V1 for me !.....why ?....because you've got your thinking cap on again, & creating an image with more feeling, more mood, & simply more beautiful ! For me, this lifts the image a couple of notches above your "nothing photos", & I love to see a bit of creativity creeping in, it shows people are 'thinking' more about their images, which can only be a positive outcome......1st class shot !!!!

It's the colour version for me, but the monochrome is rather good and works well
