Ship Aground

By Sue_R
Didn't have to go too far afield for photo opportunities this weekend as it was all happening on our doorstep when the Fri Sea ran aground at Corpach just a couple of hundred yards from our house.

Went down to the shore at high tide this morning and watched as the Burhou I made a failed attempt to pull the cargo vessel free. V2 shows the wider scene.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my last upload and special thanks to craggwildlifephotography, cabbie, marktc, DonMc, WhiteRose1, williamsloan and TrevBatWCC for your User Awards.

Yes, I saw this stranding on the news last evening: and such an interesting event to have right on your doorstep.
You live in a very beautiful part of the country with so many photo opportunities but I guess you never reckoned on being able to capture one like this.

Lovely Light on both Sue, and I like the bigger picture in V2 showing everything in context. Nice colour too.
Hope the new Job's going ok.
