Assynt Stream

By Sue_R
Taken just after my last upload and looking in the opposite direction. Loch Assynt is just visible in the distance. Having taken a couple of shots with Phil's camera I decided I really should dig my own out of my rucksack, mainly because he wanted his back Smile

V2 is a mono version of the same image so I'll be interested to know which you prefer.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my recent uploads. They really are much appreciated.

This shot has a lovely feel to it Sue, and for me, it's the colour version that captures the scene rather better.
Was very nice of you to let Phil have His Camera back Smile

Colour for me Sue. If it had been taken in the summer I would undoubtedly choose mono but in winter the landscape is full of wonderful orange tones.
Love the image too - couldn't be anywhere else!

Superb Sue. That stream takes us right through the image.

The colour version has much more impact in my opinion, I like the way the stream leads us through the image

How nicely the stream bed carries us forward down the valley to distant Loch Assynt: very fine shot, Sue, and for me the colour version is the bee's knees.

Another superbly captured scene, Sue, and excellently converted to mono. However, as we're also presented with the colour version, I have to say I prefer that, with those lovely warm tones Wink

Colour version for me Sue, the light is a touch too flat for mono IMO. Nice capture of a typical Scottish moorland scene.
