Flowers and Grass 2

By suejoh
I tried to add some more into this one and I wanted some stones but they did not work as well in reality as they did in my mind. I added some seeds at the bottom in later versions.

Maybe it is too busy. I did start without the yellow flower on the right.
Also I wondered if it needed more space but not sure of that either.

Some extra ones as mods

I think, at least for me, that the stones closely resemble potatoes, and dont seem right?

To me, the first thing is more space on the right, and above - not all round. The flowers are heading for the top right.

The second issue in the lead image is that it's dark - that may be because of the texture you've added... If you could upload the pre-texture version, that will be easier to modify - but I'll give this a whirl.

On doing the mod, I realised that there's also a bit of a tilt to the image, visually.

The small grass in the middle and the flower are both tilting right, while hte grass on the left is straight - this is unsettling, I think.

Out of balance for me. What is your compositional strong point? The yellow flower I think but very near the right edge. you need more balance with your main feature on a third or near and ith something weaker on BOTH side.

Your second version, with the flower to the left, is more balanced.
I think that would look good with the extra space, different texture, and colour, as in the first version.

You could try something natural instead of the stones, i.e. pine cones, leaves, daisy heads or other flower petals (as if they have fallen), seeds or seedpods, etc.
