A well focused and exposed bumble. It was a shame you couldn't get a view which included more of the face but I know what its like - bashful things bumbles sometimes Smile

Excellent close up. Lovely detail on the bumble, just a bit too much pink for me though so I'd have cropped a little bit off the left side!
Great first upload - looking forward to seeing more.

Great close up. Having link=http://www.ephotozine.com/gallery/showlargepic.cfm?photoid=81636]tried[/link] last weekend to get one of these I know how difficult they are, the little s@ds won't stay still long enough for me.

Tell me, is it considered cruel to put superglue on flowers?

I agree about cropping the left a little.

Hi Sue Welcome to ePHOTOzine. You made an excellent choice with your camera LOL . So good for close ups as you can turn the lens to different angles . Fancy you living in New Zealand . It looks a wonderful place . I would like to visit there one day .
This is a great first shot of your Bumble Bee and hope to see many more .
