Just poured myself a glass (love these glasses sleek and stylish and a little bit deco - bought them in a charity shop of all places!) and l noticed late this afternoon weird sunlight cast across our kitchen wall and just playing around placed my glass in front. No PS just straight from the camera and cropped slightly.

(My Gran used to have a bottle of Galliano on her drinks cabinet surrounded by a whole lot of smaller bottles in a circular brass coloured rack that spun round - as a kid I used take them all out and use it as a merry go round for my dolls!) Have to say - love my new 350D!

Suprised this has not had more attention. I think it works quite well. maybe a small crop from the left and bottom would help.
I like it.

Like the shot and the lighting, but I thought Galliano was yellow? I know it's not important to the shot, just confused.

Well taken.

Cheers for the comments. There are two, red and yellow Galliano don't know what the difference between the two is. My gran had the yellow one and her sister had the red one. This is just wine as I wanted to use my new glasses.

Cheers Sugar, I'm now on a mission to find the red one; then I'll do a back to back test and let you know Smile.

I agree with snowman's first post, for me a closer crop on the left and bottom would emphasise it more.

Funnily enough I remember my mum having a bottle of this (the yellow one though) in the 'secret' drinks cabinet.

LOL..that sounds like my mother was an alcoholic doesn't it. I mean the drinks were stored in secret from us kids of course... that worked Smile

I think everyones mums & dads had a 'secret' drinks cabinet and at chritmas it was positively bulging and was no longer a secret! I used to like my grans drinks cabinet as the front pulled down like a bar area & it was full of 1950s style shot glasses ...Advocat ...Cherry B ....bottles of Snowball ...Babycham (my fave!) glace cherries not forgetting those little plastic cocktail sticks if they weren't those little swords then they were the swinging pub sign cocktail sticks!

Quality image. I have a little drinks cabinet but it never gets a chance to buildup!

I really like this natural light glass shot. especially with the clarity of the writing on the glass. well done

A really nice shot - I admit that my drinks don't even get as far as a drinks cabinet !!! this is a really lovely photo - it's better than the adds you see in the top mags
