Your portfolio is, simply, one of the best on the site. Consistently inventive, humane and technically just right - it deserves vastly more votes than it has so far.

Keep it up - it's inspiring!

Hi Jill

I was just discussing your photos with someone, and we both agreed it was impossible to write anything about them, and I've just worked out why.

The images have such a depth and impact that anything in words seems superficial. It is very obvious that with your images you capture something that cannot be written down - and there are very few photos that do that for me.

I hope all is well. Best wishes from here.

Jill,

Simply the best PF on EPZ, bar none, regardless of genre, for me. Your uploads have a consistency that each and every one must be a HC/EC contender. Through each and every shot it's evident that you have a relationship with your subject much more than is the norm.

You have an artist's perception of life, but I doubt even you could have brought that to fruition through photography, without your obvious trusted interaction with those you photograph.

An inspiration to all regardless of what we wish to depict in our images.

Tommie
At the time I worked for a belgian tour operator Jill. I could work on my own and it gave me the chance to see a bit more of the world, but not as a tourist. 3 years (or rather summer seasons) I worked in Turkey, near Antalya. I knew one of Mr. Yildiz' daughters through work, and since we lived in the same local village I often was a guest at their home. As his daughters had grown up in Germany, we communicated in German (apart of course from the desperate glimpses from my side and their teasing winks in return lol).
Anyway, since about 5 years I live in Thailand and work in Bangkok for the Belgian govenment.
Regrettably I never used my live abroad to its full potential from the photographic point of view. No EPZ at the time :o)
By the way, I believe photos are more often a distortion of reality than a true reflection of it, a bit like memories I guess. For example people seeing my photos might be misled into thinking that I have a wonderfull happy life and am to be envied lol. But it doesn't quite work like that, does it ? ;o)
Thanks for your nice comment(s) by the way Jill. Appreciate it a lot.

Sometimes someones work speeks volumes on life that words can never say, your portfolio is testiment to that statement. I suppose you have to experience life in dark and light to display all of lifes wonders and emotions within the shadows.
