I was taking some surfing shots when this lady took to the water in front of me. I really like the delicate positioning of her hand.

You've caught the wave breaking nicely and the slihouette is sharp. I agree, the hand is just right. She's a little too central for my liking, though. I like the frame effect.

I'm with Dave on this one, although having said that I like the space that you've given her in the shot and it may have worked even better with an even wider, panoramic format. Love the frame!

P.S. I've just had a play with this in PS-pushed the contrast quite high and darkened the shot; think it works really well!

It's bizarre it was a busy day must of been 20 people in the water. but no one in the back of the shot, must of been fate!

this is one of my favourite in the whole website, lovely use of b+w, there were 20 people in with 1~2ft surf?
