This is a superb series of shots and the commentary brought a tear to my eye. His dogs look so content and probably enjoy their life just as much, if not more than my 3.
This is a set of pictures that make you stop and think and maybe appreciate the simple things in life a bit more. Thankyou for that.

I love this shot, both of them seem lost in their own little worlds. The expression on the dog is superb and immediately makes you wonder what he's looking at. The image is nicely exposed, well composed and the background is lovely and uncluttered ( a problem I always seem to have with candids).
A superb candid shot.

He is so cute!

Holly splash

This is a wonderful action shot and the grass is nowhere near as saturated as Cheryls Smile But what I don't understand is why are your water drops not as sharp as hers, is it something to do with the post processing?

Bouncy Setter

What a wonderful sense of energy you have managed to create with this shot. I presume you must have been panning to get the wonderful effect of the movement in the grass and this is not easy to do and get the dog in focus as I know well! My only very slight criticism is that the ear is slightly cropped, you could have done with a bit of space above the dog so that the dogs head followed the rule of thirds. Not essential in a composition I know but I think in this case it would have improved it slightly. Still a great shot though!

Naarfolk boauy

This is a great portrait, really sharp where it needs to be. I too love my dogs to look more "doggy" than perfectly groomed Ithink it helps to show off their character a bit more.
The only thing I would change about this shot is the white blob behind the dogs head, it looks like its probably its tail but just shows as a distraction. Maybe getting the dog to sit would help to clean the background up a bit or if he's a bit of a handful getting lower down to take the shot

Little man standing

Little man standing by deavilin

Absolutely superb image, you've got him standing nice and alert and you can see all 4 legs (I seem to have a knack of photographing 3 legged dogs!)
The only thing I would probably change is the angle of the head, either by moving yourself slightly or catching the dogs attention just so that you can see the other eye a bit more.

They are really gorgeous dogs, great shots

Byodo-In Temple

I really like this, it jumped out at me from the thumbnail.
The composition is perfect with the bridge leading you into the temple. The only distraction is the bit of blown out sky in the corner, I think I would probably have cropped it out.
Great shot
